In its first year, Haiti HealthShare focused on modest but achievable goals:

• It continued to defray the costs and provide prospects for the Care-Share student trips.
• It supported the school and orphanage of Fondation Enfant Jesus by sponsoring a fact-finding trip of a delegation of retired national basketball players.
• It gathered data and began networking for two major programs to begin this year - one to address sickle cell anemia in Haiti and the second to address the extraordinary instance of Marfan's Syndrome in the Central Plateau of Haiti.
